Celebs and relatives of Martin Luther King Jr. call for new probe into his death

A group of concerned US citizens are calling for new probes into the murders of John F. Kennedy, Robert F. Kennedy, Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm X.

The Truth and Reconciliation Committee (TRC) has alleged in a statement released on Saturday that conspiracies at play in each of the four assassinations were covered up by the government.

‘On the occasion of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, a group of over 60 prominent American citizens is calling upon Congress to reopen the investigations into the assassinations of President John F. Kennedy, Malcolm X, Martin Luther King, Jr. and Senator Robert F. Kennedy,’ the statement said.

George Stinney Jr: Black 14-year-old boy exonerated 70 years after he was executed

George Stinney Jr became the youngest person to be executed in the US in the 20th century when he was sent to the electric chair in 1944, but more than 70 years after his death his conviction has been overturned.

Circuit Judge Carmen Mullen said the speed with which the state meted out justice against the boy was shocking and extremely unfair, and that his case was one of “great injustice” in her ruling exonerating Stinney Jr.
